Two Directors Added to Understanding Corporation Board
Chapel Hill , NC, April 20, 2007 – Chapel Hill, NC-based Understanding Corporation announced that Mr. Patrick J. Donahue and Mr. Stephen A. Sasser have been elected to the Company’s Board of Directors.
Mr. Donahue is a resident of Cary, North Carolina. In March, the Company selected Donahue as its future Chief Executive Officer and President. He has enjoyed a long and productive career, serving primarily in senior management positions with both Pitney Bowes and Bell & Howell (now Bowe Bell & Howell). He served as a U.S. Army Officer and holds an undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of New Haven and a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University.
Mr. Sasser has over 25 years of successful experience in the software and Human Capital Management fields. He has most recently served as CEO and President of Peopleclick, and held the same posts at Frontstep (formerly SYMIX), which was acquired by MAPICS in 2002. Prior to these assignments, Sasser held senior positions with Trilogy Development Corp, Goal Systems/LEGENT and UCCEL Corp. Sasser earned his BBA and MBA degrees from Southern Methodist University.
